Production Start-Up Senior Engineer (LNG)

Location: Milan, Italy; resident working schedule

What you will do

• Develop subsystem start-up sequences and contribute to start-up procedures aligned with operator standards.
• Support the transition from mechanical completion to handover, start-up, performance testing, and early LNG train operations.
• Review handover readiness, commissioning completion dossiers, RFSU dossiers, punch lists, as-built documentation, manuals, and operating procedures.
• Participate in commissioning activities, RFSU walkdowns, ESD, EDP, and F&G cause-and-effect tests, and SIMOPS coordination meetings.
• Lead LNG train start-up activities with Production teams and coordinate post-handover vendor mobilization.
• Support performance tests, troubleshooting, technical studies, shutdown preparation, warranty claims, and operational improvements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Applied Science, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• At least 15 years of experience in start-up and operations of LNG production plants.
• Strong experience with LNG train start-up, commissioning-to-operations transition, or early LNG operations.
• Excellent knowledge of LNG processes, cryogenic systems, refrigeration loops, utilities, flare and BOG systems, and start-up operations.
• Experience with handover readiness, RFSU dossiers, punch-list management, commissioning activities, HSE and environmental management systems, and ISO 14001.
• Excellent written and spoken English, plus proficiency with MS Office and Permit to Work systems.
