Project Engineer (Nutraceutical-Pharmaceutical)

Location: Pisticci Scalo, Province of Matera, Italy. Full-time, onsite role at a production plant.

What you will do

• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for capital investments.
• Plan and manage engineering projects from launch through design, mechanical completion, installation, and integration into production.
• Develop plant and equipment designs, P&IDs, technical specifications, drawings, manuals, SOPs, protocols, and quality reports.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, suppliers, contracts, budgets, timelines, FAT/SAT activities, and project reporting.
• Support plant validation, qualification, maintenance, production, fault analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Identify quality and safety risks, implement HSE measures, and promote Industry 4.0/5.0 technologies.

Requirements

• Degree in chemical engineering and proven industrial-sector experience.
• Knowledge of machinery and industrial processes in the nutraceutical-pharmaceutical field, including filtration, drying, evaporation, wastewater treatment, purified water, and clean steam production.
• Experience preparing P&IDs, technical specifications, and construction drawings.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D technical drawing with AutoCAD and in Office 365.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project and SAP management software.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, reliability, precision, flexibility, and learning ability.
