Head of Wellness Strategy & Offerings (Group Insurance)

Location: Hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week in a Guardian office in Boston, MA; Holmdel, NJ; Bethlehem, PA; or Hudson Yards, NY. Business travel is expected approximately 10–15% of the time.

Salary: $126,910–$208,495 base pay per year, with potential eligibility for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Own and refine the wellness product strategy and align it with portfolio and corporate strategies.
• Lead the development, roadmap planning, launch, and lifecycle management of wellness and absence-management offerings.
• Build integrated solutions through organic product design and partnerships with external providers and technology companies.
• Use customer feedback, product performance data, competitive trends, and market insights to identify improvements and growth opportunities.
• Develop go-to-market strategies, business cases, presentations, and investment recommendations for senior leadership.
• Manage related products, teams, suppliers, contracts, priorities, resources, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent.
• 8+ years of product management experience in the group insurance industry preferred.
• Experience with well-being offerings or products and knowledge of disability, absence, life, supplemental health, or state paid leave products.
• Cross-functional leadership experience in a matrix environment, with strong organizational, communication, analytical, project management, and financial skills.
• Demonstrated ability to operationalize new offerings through partnerships, influence stakeholders, make decisions, and drive business results.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

• Current knowledge of the wellness landscape and startup ecosystem.
• Experience with thought leadership, webinars, industry forums, conferences, and broker presentations.
