TL;DR
Commissioning Engineer - Prefabricated Data Center Modules (Electrical Systems/Data Centers): Performing on-site commissioning, technical support, adjustments, diagnostics, and customer training for modular data center equipment with an accent on LV and MV switchgear, UPS systems, cooling, protection relays, and electrical distribution. Focus on independently solving complex technical issues, conducting root cause analysis, documenting site interventions, and maintaining reliable operation across demanding international data center projects.
Location: Ed, Sweden; assignments in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Spain, and Germany. On-site work with a 3 weeks on / 1 week off rotation and approximately 70% or more international travel.

What you will do
- Perform start-up and commissioning activities across modular data center equipment.
- Assess the installation and operational condition of units and complete systems.
- Adjust equipment on site to optimise performance and conduct root cause analysis of quality, software, and operational issues.
- Support site interventions with service engineers and technical partners.
- Document test results, prepare site intervention reports, and provide customers with basic equipment-operation training.
- Commission and support LV and MV switchgear, UPS systems, ATS, protection relays, power-quality meters, batteries, and cooling systems.
Requirements
- Electrotechnical qualification; a university degree is an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in commissioning and/or field service activities.
- Experience with LV, MV, UPS, and cooling systems in data center environments.
- Knowledge of Schneider Electric systems or equivalent products, including ATS, protection relays, automation fundamentals, and electrical distribution systems.
- Strong electrical and mechanical hands-on skills, including the use of measurement and diagnostic tools, with the ability to work autonomously.
- Fluent English is mandatory; extensive international travel and rotating on-site assignments are required.
Nice to have
- Previous experience with Schneider Electric equipment and software.
- Good command of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, and commissioning software.
- Strong customer focus, reliability, flexibility, collaboration, and attention to technical detail.
