Aircraft Fuel Specialist (Aviation)

Location: Raleigh, NC; Monday through Friday in the Raleigh office. This is not a remote or hybrid position.

What you will do

• Process daily, weekly, and monthly aviation fuel accounting and accounts payable activities.
• Reconcile fuel purchases, deliveries, consumption, invoices, inventory, vendor credit cards, and Fuel Master Card transactions.
• Investigate billing and fuel cost discrepancies, validate supplier invoices, and ensure pricing follows negotiated fuel agreements.
• Coordinate fuel-related requests, pricing, billing, credits, and account issues with external vendors and pilots.
• Maintain audit-ready fuel transaction records, support internal and external audits, and ensure compliance with aviation standards.
• Compile fuel data for reporting and drive process automation and efficiency.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Aviation Management, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, or a related finance role.
• Experience with high-volume accounts payable.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in the Raleigh office Monday through Friday.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience in the aviation or fuel industry.
• Knowledge of the aviation fuel supply chain.
