Packaging Engineer Throughput & EIC Support

Location: Onsite at the Atlanta West manufacturing facility in Forest Park, Georgia, USA

Salary: $90,900–$170,100 in Zone A, $83,400–$155,900 in Zone B, or $75,800–$141,700 in Zone C, plus eligibility for incentive plans.

What you will do

• Lead data-driven improvements that increase packaging and processing throughput, remove bottlenecks, and improve equipment and process capability.
• Provide secondary engineering escalation support for electrical, instrumentation, controls, automation, PLC/HMI, drives, motors, sensors, and industrial communications.
• Partner with Maintenance and Operations leaders to address performance issues, recurring failures, reliability opportunities, and operating standards.
• Apply DMAIC, root cause analysis, FMEA, RCFA, or other structured methods from problem definition through verified sustainment.
• Coordinate technicians, controls resources, suppliers, contractors, and external engineering support during complex escalations.
• Lead or support capital projects through scope development, justification, installation, commissioning, training, and startup.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, automation, maintenance, reliability, process improvement, or a related technical environment.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, controls, automation, PLC/HMI, drives, motors, sensors, and industrial communication systems.
• Demonstrated ability to improve equipment, process, or manufacturing performance through data analysis and sustainable countermeasures.
• Experience with DMAIC, formal project management, root cause analysis, FMEA, RCFA, or another formal problem-solving methodology.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, project leadership, prioritization, and cross-functional communication skills.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of manufacturing safety, quality, environmental, regulatory, and change-management requirements.
• Experience managing contractors, equipment suppliers, or external engineering resources.
