Electrical Engineer (Process Controls)

Location: U.S. mill locations in Counce, TN; DeRidder, LA; Filer City, MI; International Falls, MN; Jackson, AL; Massillon, OH; Riverville, VA; and Tomahawk, WI.

Salary: $86,000–$90,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical direction, troubleshooting, and problem-solving support for electrical equipment, systems, and maintenance issues.
• Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs, equipment tracking, rebuild programs, and technical documentation.
• Plan outages, coordinate contractors and vendors, support training, manage spare-parts planning, and provide field assistance.
• Develop electrical project scopes, budgets, schedules, equipment specifications, and startup plans.
• Plan, program, maintain, and improve PLC, distributed control, quality control, HMI, instrumentation, and related process control systems.
• Analyze equipment and process performance to reduce downtime, costs, process variation, and quality issues while improving production and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or a related field.
• 0–4 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
• Ability to read technical documentation, solve problems independently, manage multiple requests, communicate effectively, and support continuous process improvement safely.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems.
• Related experience or co-op/internship experience in the paper industry.
• Membership in a paper foundation or enrollment at one of the listed universities or eligible state and technological universities.
