Electrical Engineer - All Mills (Process Controls)

Location: Onsite at one of PCA's mill locations in Counce, Tennessee; DeRidder, Louisiana; Filer City, Michigan; International Falls, Minnesota; Jackson, Alabama; Massillon, Ohio; Gladstone, Virginia; Tomahawk, Wisconsin; Valdosta, Georgia; or Wallula, Washington. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary: $86,000–$90,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support mill safety, environmental, quality, productivity, electrical reliability, control-system reliability, and project-execution expectations.
• Provide technical direction, troubleshooting support, problem-solving assistance, and programming support for electrical equipment, systems, and process-control issues.
• Develop and improve electrical maintenance strategies, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, equipment tracking, rebuild programs, and technical documentation.
• Plan and support daily, monthly, and annual outages, including scheduling, contractor coordination, training, spare-parts planning, and field support.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, material requirements, equipment specifications, vendor coordination plans, and startup support plans.
• Coordinate maintenance, operations, engineering, contractors, vendors, and other mill resources while analyzing equipment and process data to reduce downtime, improve quality, increase production, and strengthen reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or a related field.
• 0–4 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. and a valid driver's license.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints, multitask, build relationships with internal and external customers, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, computer, planning, follow-up, people-management, and process-management skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions independently through creative problem-solving while handling ambiguity and change.
• Ability to read and understand technical correspondence, memos, instructions, and reports; apply skills to continuous process improvement while maintaining high safety standards; and demonstrate leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience in related fields or co-op/internship experience in the paper industry.
• Current membership in the paper foundation at the listed universities or current enrollment at an eligible state or technological university in the listed states.
