Mill Operator / Ink Maker (2nd Shift)

Location: West Chicago, Illinois, USA; onsite, second shift from 2:00pm to 10:30pm. Training may take place on the first shift for up to 90 days.

Salary: USD 21.00–24.00 per hour

What you will do

• Operate milling equipment safely and effectively to manufacture high-quality printing ink.
• Handle press-out units, pump-filter equipment, forklifts, and other production support equipment.
• Package and label products in various containers.
• Clean and maintain equipment according to TPM standards.
• Participate in active projects and TPM activities with the production team.
• Work with R&D, production managers, scheduling, quality, and preventive maintenance teams on product evaluation and process improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or 1–3 months of related experience.
• Good mathematics and basic computer skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Reliable attendance and availability for the assigned shift, including overtime when required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with scheduling, quality, and preventive maintenance teams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.
• Post-offer, pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background check required.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in the ink industry or with mills and pump-filter equipment.
• Two or more years of related manufacturing experience.
• Autonomous Maintenance experience and forklift experience.
