Senior Industrial Designer

What you will do

• Create product designs and experiences with a tangible impact on people’s lives.
• Lead clients and multidisciplinary teams through the industrial design phase of projects.
• Contribute to user research, brainstorming, concept development, prototyping, and design stewardship.
• Build empathy with users through field activities and communicate the essence of design concepts.
• Work with engineers and manufacturers to develop design solutions across products, software tools, applications, and web experiences.

Requirements

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and experience working closely with engineers.
• Experience delivering engineering drawings and specifying colors, materials, and finishes.
• Strong visualization skills, including concept sketching, 3D CAD modeling, and rendering.
• Experience with SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, KeyShot, Cinema 4D, or similar programs.
• Excellent storytelling, communication, presentation, and design collaboration skills.
• Resume, cover letter, portfolio with at least four work-related projects, and an answer to the design pop quiz are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Adobe Suite and Grasshopper for Rhino or equivalent tools.
• Two or three additional projects completed for fun in the portfolio.
