Industrial Design Intern (Generative AI)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid working with attendance in the office or on client site a minimum of 2 days per week, and up to 5 days as needed.

What you will do

• Support industrial design projects from research and ideation through concept development, refinement, and implementation.
• Communicate design ideas through sketching, CAD modeling, rendering, prototyping, and visual storytelling.
• Develop innovative products and experiences for client and internal projects.
• Collaborate with industrial designers, engineers, strategists, technologists, and clients.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
• Portfolio demonstrating creative problem-solving, systems thinking, design process, concept development, and strong visual communication.
• Proficiency in 2D design, sketching, visualization, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with 3D modeling and rendering, hands-on prototyping, and model-making.
• Strong communication, collaboration, critical thinking, curiosity, and continuous-learning skills.
• Applications must include a portfolio showcasing the strongest work.

Nice to have

• Experience with SolidWorks and KeyShot.
• Interest in emerging technologies and Generative AI tools such as Midjourney, Vizcom, or Microsoft Copilot.
