What you will do

• Design and develop large-scale fitness equipment and integrated subsystems, including member input devices.
• Manage the full product development lifecycle from early research and concept exploration to DFM and final launch.
• Create and communicate design proposals through physical prototypes, sketches, 2D presentations, and CAD.
• Specify CMF (Color, Material, Finish) for all user-facing parts and ensure production quality.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Mechanical Engineering, and Software teams to develop engaging member experiences.
• Lead sophisticated projects, facilitate team brainstorms, and mentor other designers through healthy design debates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience, specifically in adjacent industries like automotive, aerospace, or large equipment.
• Proficiency in Solidworks (surface modeling and curvature continuous CAD), Keyshot, and Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.
• Proven track record of bringing mass-produced analog and digital products to market using various manufacturing methods (injection molding, die casting, etc.).
• Portfolio submission is required and must demonstrate process, problem-solving, and prototyping.
• Must be based in New York, NY for a hybrid work arrangement.

• Previous experience in the fitness industry.
• Advanced surfacing skills with Solidworks or other parametric modeling software.
