TL;DR
Manufacturing Operations Project Manager 1 (Industrial Manufacturing): Coordinating manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, quality, logistics, and project management to deliver packaged modular systems on schedule and budget with an accent on production planning, work-order control, and material readiness. Focus on balancing shop-floor workloads, monitoring labor budgets and project schedules, managing rework and non-conformances, and improving manufacturing processes.

Location: Houston, TX (TAS-AIRPORT); onsite, full-time

hirify.global's TAS business engineers and manufactures packaged modular systems for data centers, power, and commercial and industrial utility applications.

What you will do

  • Develop production and project execution plans to meet delivery schedules and coordinate execution across multiple projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, bills of material, work orders, and material availability before and during manufacturing.
  • Plan labor forecasts and manufacturing strategies while balancing shop-floor workloads and production resources.
  • Track manufacturing and project schedules, monitor work orders, and report progress to project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate Manufacturing, Engineering, Project Management, Purchasing, Quality, Logistics, Production Planning, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Manage material requisitions, expediting, revision control, rework documentation, and root-cause and impact reporting for non-conformances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent military leadership or technical experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering, operations management, or a related role in heavy or industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience with fabrication, welding, assembly, labor budgets, ETC/EAC, ERP systems, bills of material, work orders, and MRP systems.
  • High proficiency in blueprint reading and P&ID interpretation.
  • Experience with Lean or other waste-elimination processes and ISO 9001 or another quality management system.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Primavera, or MS Project, with strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
