SOP Project Manager (EV & Energy Storage)

Panasonic Energy produces lithium-ion batteries and is expanding a large-scale battery manufacturing facility supporting electric vehicles and sustainable energy.

What you will do

• Lead planning and execution of mid- to large-scale infrastructure, production, facility, and capital projects.
• Define project scope, schedules, deliverables, resources, and integrated critical paths with engineering, operations, procurement, vendors, and leadership.
• Coordinate vendor execution, procurement timelines, construction or installation milestones, and project dependencies.
• Manage project risks, costs, schedules, KPIs, dashboards, status reporting, and mitigation plans.
• Facilitate project meetings, guide cross-functional contributors, resolve execution barriers, and escalate issues through governance channels.
• Ensure quality, safety, regulatory compliance, audit-ready documentation, and effective use of project management standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related technical or operations field; relevant experience may substitute.
• 5+ years of hands-on project management experience delivering technical, construction, manufacturing, or capital projects.
• Experience managing scope, schedule, cost, risk, critical-path activities, multiple workstreams, and external vendors without direct authority.
• Working knowledge of project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, or similar platforms.
• Working-level English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking is required.
• Valid authorization to work in the United States without restriction is required; the position is onsite and includes possible PPE requirements.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, PMP or CAPM certification, or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
• Experience in lithium-ion battery or high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, engineering drawings, capital expenditure projects, facility systems, SAP, or Oracle.
