Accounting Clerk, Flowerbuyer

Location: Ontario, Canada; fully remote work from home, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

Salary: $55,000–$60,000 CAD annually, based on experience.

Flowerbuyer is an online auction-based wholesale flower-buying platform acquired by Teleflora, which is part of The Wonderful Company.

What you will do

• Process high-volume vendor invoices, including downloading, coding, documenting, and entering them into the accounting system.
• Perform invoice and vendor statement reconciliations and forward approved invoices to department managers for payment.
• Analyze vendor statements, investigate outstanding or disputed balances, and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.
• Manage weekly vendor payment cycles through wire transfers, ACH, and EFT from USD and CAD bank accounts.
• Maintain complete electronic accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Provide backup accounts receivable support by responding to payment inquiries and applying customer payments.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting-related experience, preferably in accounts payable.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP or accounting systems.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining the stated 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. schedule.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
