Junior Accountant (SaaS)

Location: Remote within Canada

Base salary: $50,000–$62,000 CAD per year, dependent on experience and exclusive of bonus, commission, benefits, or equity.

What you will do

• Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices based on contract terms and company policies.
• Maintain customer account records and review billing, customer, and contract data for completeness.
• Follow up on outstanding receivables, respond to billing inquiries, and support collections.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to resolve billing and payment issues.
• Prepare AR aging analyses, cash collection reports, reconciliations, revenue checks, and variance analyses.
• Support AP activities, month-end close, workflow improvements, and the adoption of accounting automation tools.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in a similar finance role, preferably in SaaS.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and professional written and verbal communication.
• Comfort with Excel or Google Sheets and willingness to learn accounting and CRM systems such as Sage Intacct and Salesforce.
• Proactive, accountable, curious, and willing to learn new technologies, including automation and AI tools such as Claude and Gemini.
• Maintains a professional and current LinkedIn profile and updates it upon joining hirify.global.
