Accounting Technician

Location: Hybrid work in Montréal, Quebec, Canada

What you will do

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable, vendor records, invoice coding, purchase requests, and expense reimbursements.
• Review company credit card expense reports in Concur and respond to vendor and employee expense inquiries.
• Execute semi-monthly ACH and wire payment runs.
• Support month-end and year-end close through journal entries, account analysis, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with annual financial audits, tax and payroll filings, and payroll backup.
• Maintain accounts payable and payroll policies and contribute to special projects and ad hoc analysis.

Requirements

• DEC degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience with accounts payable, general ledger, and month-end close.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple deadline-driven tasks, and meet established time frames.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, as well as Outlook and Word.
