Packaging Operator (Rotating) (1st/2nd/3rd Shifts)

Location: Aberdeen, MD, USA; onsite work across rotating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts

Salary: $24.92–$28.30 per hour

What you will do

• Operate and maintain automated packaging line equipment, including fillers, labelers, cappers, check weighers, coders, case packers, and case sealers.
• Set up equipment and perform changeovers according to established procedures.
• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions using mechanical knowledge and skills.
• Identify quality issues and collaborate with relevant teams to meet product standards.
• Maintain inventory of assigned supplies and parts, ordering replacements as needed.
• Support equipment installations, improvement projects, maintenance documentation, training, and OSHA-compliant safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or two years of operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and email.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts and overtime as business needs dictate.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours per shift and perform medium physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance when required.
• Resume, pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check required.

Nice to have

• Five years of experience in manufacturing or a packaging department.
• Experience with packaging equipment, automotive mechanics, maintenance, blow molding, electrical work, or machine shop operations.
• Relevant military experience.
