Maintenance Technician (Chemical Plant)

Location: Fresno, California, United States; full-time onsite plant work

Salary: $32.14–$39.51 per hour

What you will do

• Perform plant troubleshooting and maintenance to support safe and reliable process operations.
• Rebuild and align rotating equipment, with a focus on pumps, tank agitators, conveyors, and elevators.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain equipment files and spare-parts inventories.
• Help develop plant maintenance procedures and mitigate process issues.
• Maintain clean, organized maintenance shop and parts-storage areas.
• Handle, package, label, and clean up hazardous waste after completing the required training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of general maintenance experience and demonstrated process-maintenance experience.
• Strong technical knowledge, troubleshooting ability, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic chemistry knowledge and computer literacy, including MS Office and SAP.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Must be able to work an 8-hour day shift, including some weekends, overtime, and possible holidays.

Nice to have

• Experience with pump maintenance, tank agitators, product conveyors, or elevator maintenance.
• Knowledge of HAZWOPER, OSHA, PSM, RCRA, and DOT regulations.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
