Director of Clinical Admissions (Behavioral Health)

Location: Remote, United States. Work authorization in the United States is required. The schedule may include days, evenings, and weekends; travel is minimal.

Base compensation: $106,000–$135,000 per year, plus a performance bonus. Additional compensation may include stock options and company-sponsored benefits.

What you will do

• Build, lead, and scale the clinical admissions team, including hiring, onboarding, supervision, coaching, and performance management.
• Oversee intake and HIPAA-compliant biopsychosocial assessments for adolescents, young adults, and adults entering virtual intensive outpatient programs.
• Determine clinical fit and level of care, support crisis intervention and safety assessments, and connect clients with higher levels of care when needed.
• Improve speed to admit by reducing the time between assessment and program start while maintaining compassionate, accurate communication.
• Lead chart audits, documentation quality, regulatory compliance, change management, and admissions process improvement.
• Partner with Clinical Leadership, Admissions, Compliance, Revenue Cycle Management, Utilization Review, and a fellow Director of Clinical Admissions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of behavioral health experience and a master’s degree in mental health or a related field.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience; 3 or more years is preferred.
• Independent mental health licensure in any discipline.
• Demonstrated experience building, scaling, hiring for, and performance-managing teams in high-growth or high-volume environments.
• Experience with change management, process improvement, project management, and workflow adoption.
• Work authorization in the United States and native or bilingual English proficiency are required. Reliable technology for confidential, compliant telehealth delivery is also required.

• Experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults.
• Experience with electronic medical records, Zoom, Google Workspace, and other communication platforms.
• At least one year of internal experience at hirify.global.
