Nurse Practitioner (Mental Health)

Location: Remote within the United States; eligibility to work in the United States is required. Visa sponsorship or assistance with obtaining work eligibility is not available. Work schedules are Monday–Friday, with shifts from 9am–6pm ET, 10am–7pm ET, or 11am–8pm ET.

Salary: $125,000–$135,000 annually, plus potential bonus.

What you will do

• Assess the mental and physical health of adolescent and adult patients aged 13 and older.
• Diagnose psychiatric and mental health conditions, including substance abuse dual diagnoses.
• Develop and evaluate treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
• Conduct individual psychotherapy, prescribe psychotropic medications including controlled substances, and monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Order diagnostic tests, educate patients and families, and de-escalate challenging situations when needed.
• Document visits, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and outcomes in the EHR while coordinating follow-up care.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensure.
• Experience in addiction and mental health care, including treatment of adults with general mental health conditions or severe mental illness.
• Experience with motivational interviewing, comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, EHR documentation, and telehealth technology.
• Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, state regulations, and national standards of care.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship and work-eligibility assistance are not available. Florida and New York license holders must maintain active DEA registration.

Nice to have

• Spanish proficiency; additional compensation is available for Spanish-fluent providers.
• Previous telehealth experience.
• Experience in the Community Mental Health sector.
• Additional state licensure or willingness to obtain it.
