Project Manager (Aviation)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States; full-time onsite role

Salary: $108,000–$163,000 per year, depending on location, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.

What you will do

• Manage aviation construction projects across budgeting, bidding, cost control, client relations, execution, and closeout.
• Participate in RFP responses, develop presentations, and support pricing presentations to clients.
• Coordinate internal teams, trade partners, design teams, superintendents, and clients.
• Prepare budgets and bids, review scopes, level trade partner bids, and monitor project financials.
• Manage billing, change pricing, subcontracts, insurance certificates, forecasting, receivables, and project buyout.
• Monitor onsite progress through frequent site visits and ensure timely punch-list completion and financial closeout.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of construction project management experience, including 2–3 years in internal fit-out aviation construction projects.
• Prior experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Strong estimating, budgeting, cost management, drawing review, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Proven experience across estimating, owner/architect relations, cost monitoring, and project wrap-up.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work with high-end clientele.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering is preferred; equivalent strong experience may be considered.
