Water/Wastewater Project Manager (Smart Water Technology)

Location: Morrisville, North Carolina, United States (office-based); travel to client sites up to 30% of the time.

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year plus bonus.

What you will do

• Create project plans, charters, statements of work, work breakdown structures, risk mitigation plans, quality plans, and system acceptance test plans.
• Manage change orders, contracts, project budgets, expenses, effort tracking, and invoicing.
• Coordinate stakeholders, project staff, suppliers, and deliverables to maintain schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Present digital technology concepts to utility managers and provide technical scope and costing for proposals.
• Architect and deliver scalable project solutions in collaboration with senior managers, account executives, solution managers, architects, and product management.
• Identify and actively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and interdependencies across multiple workstreams.

Requirements

• Four-year university degree in engineering or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of project management experience, or a postgraduate engineering degree.
• Proficiency with Microsoft software, Smartsheet, and Atlassian tools.
• Familiarity with simulation or optimization modeling software such as EPA-SWMM, geospatial data management software such as ESRI, or data architecture and UI/UX projects involving SCADA or cloud platforms.
• Experience architecting smart water and wastewater solutions involving modeling, software applications, databases, hardware telemetry, and sensing technologies.
• Ability to manage diverse teams and suppliers, work under pressure, communicate effectively, and adapt communication to different clients and stakeholders.
