Civil CAD Designer - Land Development (AutoCAD Civil 3D)

Location: Tampa, Sarasota, or Fort Myers, Florida, USA; collaborative office environment with business-related vehicle travel during work hours.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain civil engineering drawings and models using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare site, grading, utility, and roadway plans for land development projects.
• Incorporate design updates and revisions from engineers and project managers.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other design professionals to ensure accurate and consistent documents.
• Maintain drawing standards, file organization, and project documentation.
• Support permitting and construction documentation efforts.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in civil engineering drafting and design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, and pipe networks.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; ability to operate a company or personal vehicle for business travel.
