Customer Service Representative (Manufacturing)

Location: Corporate office in Schaumburg, Illinois, USA; 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Salary: $23–$25 per hour, depending on qualifications and geographic considerations.

What you will do

• Process customer orders received primarily by email and telephone and prepare orders for billing.
• Receive, investigate, and respond to customer concerns related to products, services, and billing.
• Manage consignment inventory, billing functions, and mini plant inventory data in SAP.
• Prepare reports for management and customers and maintain related operational records.
• Track shipments, log damaged shipments for credits or returns, and generate shipping and billing documents.
• Process international shipment invoices, vendor invoices, computer orders, leases, and obsolete equipment records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent customer service, communication, reading comprehension, writing, and professional phone skills.
• Intermediate computer skills in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Good mathematics skills, including fractions, decimals, percentages, and discounts.
• Ability to solve problems involving several variables and work independently while managing multiple tasks.

Nice to have

• Associate degree from a two-year college or trade school.
• SAP experience.
• Accounts payable experience.
