Location: Ontario, California, USA; candidates may work remotely within the United States. Travel: 20% to 100% across FAA-aligned U.S. regions.
Salary: $35.00–$57.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity.

provides research, development, and engineering services focused on air traffic management, infrastructure modernization, lifecycle data management, and National Airspace System integration for the FAA, NASA, federal agencies, and commercial organizations.
What you will do
- Manage FAA telecommunications and electronic system installation projects from initiation through closeout.
- Develop engineering implementation plans, instructions, design packages, cost estimates, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Review structural, electrical, telecommunications, and signal-flow drawings and conduct initial facility site surveys.
- Engineer and oversee installations involving radio systems, VOIP/VCS, antennas, RF cables, grounding, lightning protection, towers, and facility components.
- Coordinate with project managers, financial analysts, facility managers, and installation teams to ensure readiness, material availability, and scope alignment.
- Support system integration, electrical troubleshooting, validation, and project closeout activities.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required for government contract work.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field, or six years of relevant technical experience; equivalent military training may be considered.
- Ability to travel 20% to 100%, work in field environments, and climb antenna towers up to 100 feet.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints and work with tools, test equipment, and construction materials.
- Ability to pass a government background check and meet federal background investigation requirements.
- Valid current driver’s license and access to a credit card for reimbursable travel expenses.
Nice to have
- At least two years of experience delivering engineering implementation plans, engineering instructions, and CAD drawings.
- Experience working at FAA facilities.
- Experience with communication test sets, multimeters, ohmmeters, power meters, mega-ohmmeters, Anritsu, and similar equipment.
- Strong understanding of manual and power tools and experience with electrical troubleshooting.
