Electrical Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Plano, Texas, United States; office or hybrid environment with up to 10% business travel

What you will do

• Design, develop, integrate, and validate electrical and electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications.
• Develop circuit card assemblies and apply electrical wiring design practices where required.
• Test, troubleshoot, and debug electronic circuits, components, and systems.
• Create technical designs, test plans, test results, and other engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in design reviews, and ensure product requirements are met.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.
• Proficiency in electrical and electronic circuit design and testing techniques.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, Computer-Aided Engineering tools, technical documentation, schematics, and electronic measurements.
• Ability to analyze complex systems, evaluate performance data, and systematically troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with electrical CAD software, circuit modeling, simulation, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
• Knowledge of aerospace and defense standards, FAA electrical regulations, EWIS, FMEA, SSA, ELA, EMC, and EMI.
• Knowledge of electrical component selection and manufacturing.
