Lab Technician IV (Electronics)

Location: Hybrid in Beaverton, Oregon; valid authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Salary: $29–$45 per hour, with potential discretionary bonuses and incentives.

What you will do

• Set up, install, maintain, and improve laboratory equipment and product-development test environments.
• Plan laboratory updates and manage the specification, ordering, receipt, tracking, and inventory of equipment, tools, and parts.
• Coordinate with Facilities on laboratory modifications, fixtures, furniture, utilities, and room requirements.
• Modify and troubleshoot PCBs, fixtures, wiring, and electronic or electromechanical equipment, including small-scale soldering.
• Provision laboratory computers, manage user accounts, and perform basic system administration.
• Design and maintain laboratory network topology, wiring, networking equipment, security controls, patching, and backups.

Requirements

• A.A. degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 6 years of experience supporting or operating a laboratory environment.
• Experience with Linux system administration, electronics, wiring, electrical safety, hand and power tools, soldering, and PCB or equipment modification.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including Ethernet/IP and administration of network-connected devices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in the U.S. with valid authorization, lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs daily, perform repetitive movements, and sit or stand for extended periods.
