Vice President of Accounting (CPA Required)

Location: In-person at 3456 N. Kedzie Ave., Chicago, Illinois, United States; remote candidates will not be considered.

Salary: $125,000–$175,000 annually, based on experience, credentials, and industry background.

What you will do

• Partner with the CFO on financial strategy, planning, and organizational growth initiatives.
• Oversee and support financial operations across the corporate automotive division.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
• Monitor liquidity, working capital, and financial performance to optimize organizational resources.
• Analyze financial data and operational trends to support executive decision-making.
• Improve financial controls, reporting processes, operational efficiency, and accountability with dealership leadership.

Requirements

• Active CPA license required.
• Strong background in financial management and accounting leadership.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, and operational analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• High integrity, discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive retail, a dealership group, or servicing dealership clients in public accounting.
• Experience with dealership accounting operations, including AP/AR, billing, contracts, licensing and titling, and dealership financial operations.
