TL;DR
Controller/CFO (Accounting and Finance): Overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management with an accent on financial strategy, regulatory compliance, and organizational performance analysis. Focus on presenting financial results to the Board of Directors, developing financial forecasts, and improving liquidity and operational decision-making.
Location: Bemidji, Minnesota, USA; flexible work schedule including work-from-home options
Salary: $80,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do
- Oversee accounting and financial operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchasing.
- Develop and monitor finance and accounting systems, procedures, and internal controls.
- Supervise accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, audits, and tax reporting.
- Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, budgets, and recommendations to the Board of Directors.
- Develop financial goals, performance metrics, variance analyses, and capital structure recommendations.
- Coordinate budgets, cash-flow forecasts, invoicing, purchasing, A/R, and A/P to support liquidity and business operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial management.
- Experience leading finance and accounting functions in a comparable organization.
- Strong accounting, financial reporting, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage financial strategy and provide recommendations to organizational leadership.
