HSE Specialist (Health Safety Environment)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, USA; full-time onsite role with up to 50% travel.

What you will do

• Lead periodic HSE assessments across assigned facilities, identify workplace hazards and procedural gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support occupational medical monitoring, incident management, action tracking, and related HSE programs.
• Provide in-person HSE training, coaching, and support to employees and operating facilities.
• Develop HSE procedures, corporate initiatives, training content, and process safety management activities.
• Analyze OSHA, DOT, EPA, NFPA, state, and other regulatory requirements and support compliance strategies.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, environmental reporting, and environmental and safety plan development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Science, Engineering, HSE, or a related discipline.
• 0–10 years of relevant experience and the ability to analyze regulations and support facility compliance strategies.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, applicable state requirements, and industry standards.
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, and recommend controls for workplace hazards.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, organizational, presentation, and project-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, travel up to 50%, climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, walk for up to four continuous hours, and obtain full-face respirator certification.
