EHS Manager

TL;DR

Location: Onsite at the Groveport, Ohio facility, Monday–Friday; domestic and international travel of 25–35% required.

What you will do

• Ensure distribution and manufacturing sites comply with applicable federal, state, and local workplace health and safety regulations.
• Deliver and coordinate training on new-hire safety, radiation safety, powered industrial trucks, fall protection, lifting, lockout/tagout, and hazard communication.
• Lead incident investigations using root-cause analysis and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and sustained.
• Develop EHS performance metrics covering injuries, near misses, corrective actions, training completion, and audit findings.
• Coordinate emergency response, evacuation, severe weather, and business continuity planning.
• Standardize safety practices, support injury triage and return-to-work programs, and build employee engagement around risk reduction and stop-work practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in industrial health and safety, industrial engineering, physical science, health science, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of EHS experience in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or warehousing.
• Ability to work onsite at the Groveport, Ohio facility and travel regularly across distribution centers.
• Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and training programs, including OSHA-related requirements.
• Ability to work in office and manufacturing-floor environments and use required personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• ASP, CSP, CIH, PE, CEAS, DPT, or COHN certification.
• Multi-site experience, SAP, and incident management systems experience.
• Experience with OSHA and EPA compliance programs and ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
