Environmental Compliance Specialist (Environmental Compliance)

Location: On-site at 1741 Marshall Road, Fort Bliss, Texas, United States, within the CONUS Southwest region. U.S. citizenship is required.

What you will do

• Provide environmental compliance and regulatory oversight for U.S. Army hazardous material supply operations.
• Receive, inspect, issue, store, and track hazardous materials in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Validate documentation, safety data sheets, labeling, storage compatibility, and material accountability.
• Process hazardous material transactions in GCSS-Army.
• Conduct inspections, prepare environmental reports, and support audits and corrective actions.
• Support hazardous waste turn-in and disposal approvals while meeting installation Environmental Office and Fire Marshal requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• HAZWOPER certification required.
• 5–8 years of environmental compliance experience, including 3+ years supporting Army or Department of Defense environmental programs.
• Experience with EPA and OSHA regulatory interpretation, hazardous waste documentation, inspection readiness, and data tracking.
• U.S. citizenship required; H-1B and TN visa sponsorship is not available.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, documentation, and decision-making skills.
