Workshop Technician – Multi Skilled

What you will do

• Program and manufacture precision components using CNC mills and lathes.
• Apply manual and CNC milling and turning techniques in the prototyping workshop.
• Use 3D printing technologies to develop prototypes and innovative concepts.
• Support projects across consumer, medical, defence, food and beverage, packaging, and other sectors.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and designers in multidisciplinary assignment teams.
• Share making and manufacturing expertise while developing capabilities across a broad range of prototyping equipment.

Requirements

• Strong experience in manual and CNC milling and turning.
• CADCAM experience, preferably with SolidWorks.
• Enthusiasm for learning and developing 3D printing skills.
• Competence with Microsoft Teams and MS Office.
• Confident communication at all levels in multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive, pragmatic, and collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Experience with SLA, DLP, FDM, or PolyJet 3D printing.
• EDM machining, including wire erosion and die sinking.
• Design and manufacture of test rigs and mould tools.
• Precision assembly, pneumatic or electropneumatic systems, testing, inspection, and data collection.
• Injection moulding, modelmaking, resin and silicone casting, vacuum forming, or vacuum casting.
