CAD Technician – Solidworks Specialist

Location: Brooklyn Center, MN, United States; hours: 7am-4pm

Salary: $55,000–$70,000 annually, dependent on skills and experience, plus potential annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Interpret architectural and structural drawings, including design intent and attachment conditions.
• Develop preliminary, shop, engineering, and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks.
• Coordinate with sales, project managers, engineers, and field managers throughout the design and fabrication process.
• Incorporate field measurements and feedback into project drawings and models.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while troubleshooting design challenges.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in architectural technology, engineering, or equivalent CAD experience.
• 2–3 years of SolidWorks experience, particularly with assemblies and weldments.
• Strong understanding of architectural and structural drawings.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a collaborative, quality-focused approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bluebeam Revu.
