What you will do
- Develop concepts and detailed mechanical design solutions using CAD.
- Design complex electromechanical hardware against precise mechanical requirements.
- Work across multiple projects and manage design delivery to client timelines.
- Present ideas through sketches, animations, photorealistic renderings, and rapid prototypes.
- Build, test, troubleshoot, and refine mechanical assemblies.
- Source standard and custom parts and manage supplier relationships.
Requirements
- Experienced mechanical designer with strong design capabilities and an understanding of electromechanical product development.
- High proficiency in 3D CAD, ideally including SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with assembly jigs and test equipment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and tolerance analysis for parts and assemblies.
- Experience with ideation methods, including brainstorming, functional analysis, mind-mapping, or morphological analysis.
- Strong time management, hands-on build and test skills, and the ability to balance multiple projects.
Nice to have
- OnShape experience.
- Experience contributing to dFMEA or pFMEA documentation.
- Experience designing plastic injection-moulded parts.
- Knowledge of electrochemical stacks such as flow batteries or electrolysers.
