Senior Engineer - Electrical

What you will do

• Provide technical support for high-voltage distribution equipment, motors, generators, and electrical systems at company-owned facilities.
• Coordinate vendor repairs and prepare repair reports for critical jobs.
• Identify engineered solutions, improve equipment reliability, and implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Lead and participate in root cause analyses for recurring electrical issues.
• Perform power systems analysis, including motor starting, voltage drop, short circuit, arc flash, and load flow calculations.
• Review engineering documents, program protective relays, and support training for electrical technicians and operations staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Six years of electrical engineering experience, including required experience operating and maintaining large industrial plants.
• Experience with HV substation equipment, transformers, HV/LV motors and generators, motor control circuits, variable frequency drives, station batteries, and UPS systems.
• Ability to travel 15–20% in North America.
• Solid understanding of SKM Power Tools for Windows is preferred; ETAP experience may also be considered.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Active Professional Engineer license.
• Working knowledge of SEL and Multilin protective relays.
