Electrical Systems Specialist

Location: Hong Kong; willingness to travel to Hong Kong sites and the APAC region as needed

What you will do

• Lead high-voltage switching operations across Hong Kong sites and author, review, and peer-review switching instructions.
• Develop and review Methods of Procedure for medium- and low-voltage electrical integration and construction works.
• Lead maintenance and inspections for high- and low-voltage switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS and DC systems, busways, and related infrastructure.
• Support commissioning activities for high-voltage apparatus, kiosks, generators, and uninterruptible power supplies.
• Participate in design reviews for new Hong Kong projects and communicate operational requirements to project teams and general contractors.
• Provide technical mentorship to the Safety team during electrical incident investigations and site preparation.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of proven experience performing high-voltage switching operations safely and working with low-voltage equipment.
• Cat H0 electrical licence with C0 is required.
• Sound technical knowledge of EHV, MV, and LV systems, including generators, PTUs, UPS, and automatic transfer switches.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin or Cantonese.
• Understanding of power quality, Hong Kong statutory electrical codes, and single-line and technical diagrams.
• Basic understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems, with the ability to explain technical systems to non-technical colleagues.
