Field Service Technician (Mechanical Equipment)

Location: Based at the Exton, Pennsylvania facility, with up to 80% travel mostly in the United States and Canada and occasional international travel.

What you will do

• Provide customer support by phone, email, video call, and in person to resolve equipment issues.
• Commission and start up new equipment at customer facilities, including installation checks, functional testing, and operational checks.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs, including bearing and mechanical seal replacement, electrical troubleshooting, and mill rebuilding.
• Train customers on equipment operation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and NETZSCH documentation.
• Support returned customer parts and systems, equipment conversions, part identification, drawings, and technical questions.
• Complete troubleshooting, startup, progress, status, and expense reports, and write or revise service procedures.

Requirements

• Mechanical hands-on experience, demonstrated mechanical ability, or relevant technical training.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools and electrical troubleshooting tools.
• Current driver’s license and passport, or the ability to obtain them.
• Ability to travel up to 80%, primarily in the United States and Canada; weekend travel is expected to be minimal.
