Draftsman (Electrical & Instrumentation)

Location: Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; onsite project position

What you will do

• Prepare electrical and instrumentation shop drawings using AutoCAD or manual drafting when required.
• Develop, review, and improve engineering drafting standards and procedures.
• Produce combined layouts, cable tray layouts, and section drawings for utility services and buildings.
• Review subcontractor drafting deliverables for compliance with project and department standards.
• Maintain an accurate, accessible drawing database for engineering staff.
• Track drafting schedules, identify deviations, and help resolve delays and quality issues.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Diploma in AutoCAD.
• 4–6 years of experience at the middle level; the requirements also state a minimum of 5–10 years as an Electrical & Instrumentation Draftsman.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2022, including 2D and 3D drafting, and MS Office.
• Fluent English is required.
• Strong organization, communication, analytical, teamwork, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as an Electrical & Instrumentation Draftsman with an EPC company.
• Experience in Oil & Gas projects.
