TL;DR
Senior HVAC + MEP Designer (Infrastructure and Oil & Gas): Designing and coordinating HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for infrastructure, process, facility, and control-room projects with an accent on detailed layouts, equipment modelling, ductwork, and engineering drawing production. Focus on developing air-flow diagrams, routing HVAC ducting in E3D, preparing MTOs and BOQs, and integrating MEP systems with architectural, structural, process, and utility disciplines.

What you will do
- Design HVAC, ventilation, air-conditioning, ductwork, plumbing, and related MEP systems.
- Prepare detailed layouts, schematics, air-flow diagrams, P&IDs, and issued-for-construction drawings.
- Model HVAC equipment and ducting, including grilles, dampers, louvers, supports, air-handling units, fan-coil units, blowers, and chillers.
- Perform load calculations, duct sizing, equipment selection, and HVAC MTO and BOQ preparation.
- Coordinate MEP designs with architectural, structural, process, utility, and contractor teams.
- Support design execution for infrastructure, process buildings, facilities, control rooms, and offshore projects.
Requirements
- 12–15 years of experience in HVAC and MEP design.
- At least 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Relevant Middle East project experience, including infrastructure, hydrocarbon, petroleum refinery, greenfield, brownfield, concept, FEED, or detailed engineering projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, and MicroStation.
- Ability to communicate in English and willingness to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Nice to have
- Offshore and onshore project experience.
- Working knowledge of S3D and PDMS.
- Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, NBC, IS, IEC, and local regulations.
