R&D Project Manager

What you will do

• Manage mechanical and electro-mechanical hand tool development projects from concept through series production and product launch.
• Plan, track, and report project work packages while delivering quality, cost, and time objectives.
• Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate stakeholders, customers, application management, partners, and universities.
• Analyze market and technical requirements, organize feasibility studies, and manage project risks, including design and process FMEAs.
• Supervise sample-part manufacturing, testing, and consolidation of results through series release.
• Drive Design-for-Six-Sigma activities, including design robustness, FEA, reliability, and R&R work.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or in an equivalent role, preferably in automotive or a global OEM environment.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with relevant work experience.
• Experience developing electro-mechanical products and using 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Experience with quality systems such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
• Proven project management, engineering, analytical, leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Outstanding written and spoken English is required.
