Project Manager - R&D Engineering (Medical Devices)

Location: Parsippany, New Jersey, United States

Annual salary: $106,400–$130,000, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead assigned product development programs, including new products, product line extensions, and sustaining engineering releases.
• Coordinate and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver projects within defined objectives, timelines, and budgets.
• Balance electrical, mechanical, and software development issues at the system level.
• Develop project work plans and schedules, manage requirements traceability, and prepare project documentation.
• Lead design reviews, risk management, problem solving, and mitigation activities.
• Manage technical partners and vendors and facilitate project meetings and management presentations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an engineer developing products, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software engineering practices at the system level.
• Knowledge of global medical-device standards and regulations for Design Controls, Risk Management, and Electrical Safety.
• Experience managing multiple projects of varying complexity within defined guidelines, timelines, and budgets.
• Experience with Scrum, Agile, and phase-gate development processes.

Nice to have

• PMP certification.
• Advanced engineering degree.
