Sr. R&D Project Manager - Sustaining (Medical Devices)

Location: Chelmsford, MA, United States; onsite

Annual salary: $140,000–$165,000, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead assigned product development programs through established processes and procedures.
• Coordinate and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver projects against defined objectives, schedules, and budgets.
• Balance electrical, mechanical, and software development issues at the system level.
• Develop project work plans and schedules, manage requirements traceability, and prepare project documentation.
• Lead design reviews, risk management, problem solving, mitigation planning, and issue resolution.
• Manage technical partners and vendors and facilitate project meetings and management presentations.

Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience managing technical product development projects.
• Experience developing medical device capital equipment and working in a phase-gate development process.
• 10+ years of experience as an engineer developing products, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Knowledge of global standards and regulations for medical device design controls, risk management, and electrical safety.
