Sr. Project Manager, R&D (Medical Devices)

Location: Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States

Annual salary: $140,000–$155,000, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead technical product development programs, including new products, product line extensions, and sustaining engineering releases.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and drive projects toward defined objectives, schedules, and funding parameters.
• Balance electrical, mechanical, and software development issues at the system level.
• Develop project work plans, schedules, requirements, and traceability documentation.
• Lead design reviews, risk management, problem-solving, and mitigation activities.
• Manage technical partners and vendors, facilitate team meetings, and prepare management presentations.

Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience managing technical product development.
• Experience developing medical device capital equipment.
• 10+ years of experience as an engineer developing products, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Experience with phase-gate development processes and knowledge of medical-device design controls, risk management, global standards, and electrical safety.
