Electrical Engineer (Power Generation)

What you will do

• Design, evaluate, and maintain electrical systems, including power distribution, backup power, and control systems.
• Lead and support preventive and corrective maintenance for critical electrical infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues to reduce downtime and improve system reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams on capital projects, upgrades, and operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
• Develop schematics, specifications, maintenance procedures, and other technical documentation while supporting root cause analysis and system optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC, IEEE, and NFPA 70E.
• Experience with low- and medium-voltage distribution, UPS systems, generators, and other power systems.
• Proficiency with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, or similar software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with a focus on safety and reliability.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
