Radar Signal Processing Consultant (Radar/Electronic Warfare)

Location: Cambridge, UK; campus based in Melbourn, just south of Cambridge. Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Model and analyse complex radar and Electronic Warfare systems using MATLAB, Simulink, and Python.
• Develop technologically advanced proof-of-concept models based on mathematics, physics, and engineering principles.
• Design system architectures and develop and validate signal processing algorithms.
• Build simulation test benches and hardware-in-the-loop solutions for radar and Electronic Warfare systems.
• Collaborate autonomously across adjacent technical disciplines within multidisciplinary project teams.

Requirements

• In-depth experience developing or modelling and simulating radar or Electronic Warfare systems.
• Experience developing advanced models of systems and their interactions.
• Experience with system architecture, signal processing algorithm development and validation.
• Experience developing simulation test benches or hardware-in-the-loop systems.
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance is required.
• This role is not eligible for UKVI visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• DSP fundamentals, including sampling, DFT/FFT, correlation, convolution, and filtering.
• Simulation validation using real-world measurements or field trials.
• Knowledge of RF systems, including environmental modelling, antennas, front-end architecture, waveforms, receiver processing, PNT, or high-power RF/DEW.
• Experience with high-speed or real-time DSP, such as FPGA-based systems.
