TL;DR
Technical Specialist - Infrastructure (IT Infrastructure): Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure infrastructure platforms across energy, retail, and commercial environments with an accent on Azure, Windows/Linux administration, virtualization, storage, and systems integration. Focus on resolving complex infrastructure issues, optimizing platform performance, embedding security controls, and leading deployment and automation initiatives.
Location: Melbourne, Australia. Only applicants with full Australian working rights will be considered.

What you will do
- Design and lead scalable IT infrastructure platform solutions across energy, retail, and commercial operations.
- Define technical requirements and architecture while collaborating with Architecture, Engineering, Infrastructure, Cyber Security, and Applications teams.
- Oversee end-to-end platform integration and execute deployment strategies that minimize disruption.
- Implement monitoring, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize platform reliability and performance.
- Embed security controls, governance, privacy, and industry standards across infrastructure systems.
- Drive infrastructure innovation, maintain technical documentation, and report on platform performance and project progress.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in senior or lead Windows and/or Linux systems administration.
- Expertise in Windows Server, RHEL, VMware vSphere, Azure IaaS, Azure Storage, SAN/NAS, backup and disaster recovery.
- Experience with Azure landing zones, RBAC, networking, Terraform, DevOps automation, Entra ID, MFA, CIS baselines, vulnerability management, and encryption.
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud and physical or virtual infrastructure environments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, messaging platforms, PowerShell, SQL, CI/CD, containerization, and deployment pipelines.
- Full Australian working rights are required. Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills are also required.
Nice to have
- Retail point-of-sale infrastructure experience, preferably with Microsoft POS.
- Azure experience is preferred.
