Senior Cloud Migration Engineer (AWS/Azure & Wintel)

hirify.global is recruiting for a cloud engineering contract focused on enterprise workload migration.

What you will do

• Migrate VMware-hosted workloads to AWS and Azure.
• Administer Windows Server environments and Microsoft services, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, PowerShell, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Build and automate AWS environments using Terraform, CloudFormation, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and scripted deployment.
• Discover and assess workloads, plan migration architectures, and coordinate migration activities.
• Conduct migration testing and validation, execute cutovers, and provide post-migration support.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience with Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025.
• Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, IAM, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, FSx, Application Migration Service, RDS, S3, EBS, and Security Groups.
• Hands-on Azure experience with Virtual Machines, Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Azure Monitor, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Administration experience with VMware vSphere and vCenter, including VMware-to-AWS and VMware-to-Azure migration projects.
• Applicants must provide details of three relevant VMware-to-cloud migration projects, AWS IaC and automation examples, Windows Server experience, and relevant certifications.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional.
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• VMware Certified Professional.
