MEP Project Director

Location: Kettering, UK; project based in Bristol

King & Moffatt Building Services provides mechanical and electrical building services across construction sectors, from design and installation through ongoing facilities maintenance.

What you will do

• Lead the delivery of a technically complex MEP project valued at more than £20 million, from pre-construction and design coordination through commissioning and handover.
• Own project profit and loss, forecasts, cost-value reconciliations, commercial risks, variations, and change management.
• Oversee contract programmes, planning alignment, delivery risks, and recovery plans.
• Lead and mentor senior project teams, including project managers, engineers, and site managers, while managing resources and supply chain partners.
• Manage specialist M&E subcontractors, procurement strategies, long-lead equipment, and plant.
• Oversee commissioning, system integration, testing, project close-out, as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and client training.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering complex MEP projects exceeding £20 million in value.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent commercial acumen and contract management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, MEP systems, and construction methodologies.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• Willingness to complete full background checks and security vetting, including NDA clearance.

Nice to have

• Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Experience delivering manufacturing or high-tech facilities.
