Senior Project Engineer (Offshore Engineering)

What you will do

• Support project delivery from concept through realization, build, assembly, commissioning, acceptance, and handover.
• Manage technical work packages, documentation, configuration control, planning, workshops, and gate reviews.
• Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors, purchasing activities, interfaces, quality requirements, and delivery against specifications.
• Support project risk management, cost control, HSE reviews, reporting, forecasting, and schedule management.
• Coordinate internal and external project reviews, client reporting, supplier reporting, close-down activities, and lessons learned.
• Provide technical and administrative support to the Project Manager and deputise for the Project Manager during absences.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering or another relevant discipline in offshore, marine, oil and gas, or renewable energy environments.
• Proven experience delivering complex EPC projects within a project team.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies such as APM or PRINCE2.
• Experience managing multiple key suppliers and subcontracts, including contract amendments and VORs.
• Excellent planning, configuration management, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Right to work in the UK is required.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering complex design-and-build projects for global clients.
• Membership of a recognised engineering body such as IMechE.
• Formal project management qualifications or training, including PRINCE2 or APM.
• Experience with MSP, Primavera, IFS, SAP, TeamCenter, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.
• HNC-level education or higher.
